Shakira is doing her bit to help the world's victims of natural disasters, through her charitable foundation. Latin America in Solidarity Action, which she established with the Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, has donated $40million to help repair damage caused by a hurricane in Nicaragua and an earthquake in Peru. The singer, who has sold 50 million albums worldwide, made the announcement at a climate-change summit in New York hosted by former US President Bill Clinton, which Angelina Jolie also spoke at.
